Whether you are shifting a studio flat across Walthamstow or moving a four-bed family home from Chigwell to the South of France, the price comes down to a handful of straight-forward things: how much stuff you have, how far it is going, how easy it is to load and unload, whether we pack for you, and whether you need storage along the way.
We do not work to a hidden price list. Once we have surveyed your move (in person, on a video call or over WhatsApp), we send you a fixed-price quote with everything in it. Congestion charge, ULEZ, fuel, stairs, the lot. The number you see is the number you pay.

Domestic House Removal Estimates (Local)
Local moves are generally defined as relocations within a 30-mile radius.

What pushes you up the range: tight access, no lift in a fourth-floor flat, a long carry from the front door to the truck, lots of dismantling and reassembly, or a Saturday move date. What pulls you down: ground floor, off-street parking, a weekday in the middle of the month.
If you are moving more than 30 miles, mileage is added to the quote. We will spell it out before you book.

Office & Commercial Move Pricing
Relocating your business requires precision and planning to minimise downtime. Our commercial quotes are bespoke and consider several key factors:
- Office Size: Based on the number of employees, workstations, and total floor space.
- IT Equipment: Safe disconnection, packing, and reconnection of servers, computers, and other sensitive electronics.
- Access: Navigating lifts, stairs, and parking in commercial buildings.
- Out-of-Hours Service: We offer evening and weekend moves to ensure your business operations are not disrupted.
Price: Small office moves (under 10 staff) typically start from £500. For larger, more complex relocations, we provide a detailed quote after a site survey.
The MET Promise: No Hidden Fees
One of the most important parts of this Pricing Guide is what you won’t see on your bill. We do not charge “hidden” extras for:
Congestion & ULEZ Charges: We factor these into your fixed quote upfront.
Fuel Surcharges: The price we quote is the price you pay, regardless of pump price fluctuations on the day.
Stair Charges: We assess this during your survey so it’s included in the initial price.
Secure Storage Pricing
Sometimes the dates do not line up. We have secure storage at our depot, billed weekly with no minimum term beyond the first week.
- Short-term (1-4 weeks): from £25 per week for a standard 35 sq ft unit. Larger units priced on volume.
- Long-term (5+ weeks): discounted weekly rate, set at the time of booking.
- Container Size: we will recommend the right size after the survey. As a rough guide, a 35 sq ft unit holds the contents of a 1-bed flat, and a 70 sq ft unit holds a 2-bed house.

International Moving Pricing
We move households into Europe and beyond. International moves are quoted after a survey because the variables matter more.
- Destination: France and Spain are our most common runs and typically start from £1,400. Further afield (Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland) is priced per route.
- Volume & Shipping: total cubic metres, which we work out at the survey.
- Customs & Paperwork: post-Brexit paperwork is included. We handle the inventory, the C3 form and the carrier docs
- Shipping method: road freight for Europe, sea freight or air freight for longer distances. We will recommend the right one based on your timeline and budget.
Price: Moves to popular European destinations like France or Spain typically start from £1,400.
Factors That Affect Your Quote
Professional Packing Services
The most time-consuming part of any move is the packing. Done badly, it costs you a day off work and a few broken plates. Done properly, you walk out of an empty house at 9am on moving day and that is it.
- Full Packing Service: our team packs everything, from the loft to the kitchen drawers. Typical cost £300-£600 for a standard 2-3 bed house, depending on contents.
- Partial Packing Service: we handle the awkward stuff (kitchen, glassware, art, wardrobes) and you do the books and clothes. Roughly half the full-packing cost.
We bring all the boxes, paper and tape. You bring the kettle.
Payment Terms & Booking
To keep our operations running smoothly and secure your moving date, we adhere to the following terms:

Booking Deposit: A 20% deposit is required to secure your date in our 2026 calendar.

Balance Payment: The remaining 80% is due 48 hours before the move commences.

Payment Methods: We accept all major credit/debit cards, bank transfers (BACS), and secure digital payment links.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our “Gold” and “Platinum” service tiers include all boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. If you choose a “Silver” (Self-Pack) move, we can supply a packing kit for a small flat-fee.
Yes! Moving on a Tuesday or Wednesday is often 10–15% cheaper than a Friday or Saturday move due to lower demand.
Because we provide fixed-price quotes based on our survey, you don’t pay more if traffic is heavy or if the loading takes slightly longer than we anticipated.
Because no two 2-bed houses are the same. One has a piano and a third-floor walk-up; the other is on the ground floor with off-street parking. The range covers both. Once we have surveyed your move, you get a single fixed number.
