Local moves are generally defined as relocations within a 30-mile radius.

Why does a 3-bedroom house move sometimes cost £1,000 and other times £1,400? In this Pricing Guide, we want to be clear about the variables:

Volume of Goods: A “minimalist” 3-bed move takes less time and space than a “fully furnished” one.

Access Challenges: Flights of stairs without a lift, long walking distances from the van to the front door, or very narrow London streets.

Specialist Items: Moving a grand piano, a heavy safe, or high-value fine art requires extra equipment and insurance.

Distance: For long-distance moves (over 50 miles), we factor in fuel, driver hours, and 2026 road tolls.
Commercial & International Service Rates

Office Relocations: Small office moves (under 10 staff) typically start from £500. For larger corporate headquarters, we provide a bespoke quote based on IT complexity and floor space.

International (France/Europe): Moves to the EU in 2026 typically start from £1,400. This includes our assistance with the 2026 Customs Declarations and “Transfer of Residence” paperwork.

The MET Promise: No Hidden Fees
One of the most important parts of this Pricing Guide is what you won’t see on your bill. We do not charge “hidden” extras for:

Payment Terms & Booking
To keep our operations running smoothly and secure your moving date, we adhere to the following terms:

Booking Deposit: A 20% deposit is required to secure your date in our 2026 calendar.

Balance Payment: The remaining 80% is due 48 hours before the move commences.

Payment Methods: We accept all major credit/debit cards, bank transfers (BACS), and secure digital payment links.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our “Gold” and “Platinum” service tiers include all boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. If you choose a “Silver” (Self-Pack) move, we can supply a packing kit for a small flat-fee.
Yes! Moving on a Tuesday or Wednesday is often 10–15% cheaper than a Friday or Saturday move due to lower demand.
Because we provide fixed-price quotes based on our survey, you don’t pay more if traffic is heavy or if the loading takes slightly longer than we anticipated.
