1. The MET Service Guarantees

  • The Price Guarantee: The price you are quoted is the price you pay. We do not add surcharges for fuel, stairs, or heavy items on the day of the move if they were disclosed during your survey.

  • Punctuality Promise: Our crews are committed to arriving within your designated window. In the rare event of a delay due to traffic or 2026 roadworks, your Move Manager will provide real-time GPS updates.

  • Professionalism Guarantee: Every member of our team is fully trained in modern packing and loading techniques. We do not use untrained agency staff; you will always be served by uniformed MET professionals.

2. Comprehensive Insurance Coverage

We understand that your items are more than just “cargo”—they are your home and your history. Our standard 2026 coverage includes:

  • Goods in Transit (GIT): We provide Free Insurance Cover up to £50,000 as standard for every domestic move. This covers loss or damage while your items are being loaded, transported, and unloaded.

  • Public Liability Insurance: We carry £5,000,000 in Public Liability coverage. This protects you, your property, and members of the public against any accidental damage to the premises or third-party injury during the move.

3. Our Damage Policy

While our damage rate is among the lowest in the industry, we have a clear, non-confrontational policy for when things go wrong:

  1. On-Site Reporting: We encourage you to inspect your items as they are unloaded. If any damage is noted, please point it out to the Team Leader immediately.

  2. 7-Day Reporting Window: We understand that you may not unpack everything on day one. You have 7 working days to report any internal damage that was not visible during unloading.

  3. Repair or Replace: Our priority is to restore the item to its pre-move condition via professional restoration or, if that is not possible, provide a fair replacement value based on your insurance tier.

4. Complaints Procedure

  • Stage 1: Contact your designated Move Manager. Most issues can be resolved instantly at this level.

  • Stage 2: If you remain unsatisfied, email complaints@metremovals.com. A Director will review your case and provide a written response within 48 hours.

  • Stage 3: We are committed to fair resolution and will work with you to find an amicable solution that reflects our values as a family-led business.
